Qantas Business Class Cabins for $20 (With A Catch)

Qantas Business Class Cabins for $20 (With A Catch)

Have you always wanted to partake in a scavenger hunt? How about an online version? You have a chance to play a travel-themed game, and the prize is a $20 first-class seat on Australian flag carrier, Qantas.

A number of first- and business-class flights are disguised as a “cabin in the clouds” on Airbnb for just $20. The tricky part is finding them—the listings could be hiding anywhere, and your job is to find these elusive offerings. You might get lucky and stumble upon one while searching for a rental for your upcoming vacation.

Once you stumble upon one of the listings posted by the Qantas Frequent Flyer Team, you will have a chance to book the premium-cabin flight with Qantas Points at a significantly reduced rate. Hence, the promo is valid for Qantas Frequent Flyer members only.

Some of the unveiled deals include two first-class flights between Los Angeles and Melbourne, Australia, for 50,000 Qantas Points—a seat that normally goes for 144,000 miles each. Similarly, some have found two business-class flights between Sydney and London for 50,000 points—usually 128,000 miles per seat. The seats are sold in quantities of two and four, giving you a chance to fly the whole family on one of these fancy flights.

If you find a camouflaged classified, request to book, and one of the Qantas Frequent Flyer Team members will contact you to confirm your frequent-flyer number and the points balance. Once everything is verified and good to go, the agent will complete the booking for you.

The promotion is valid through the first week of June, giving you plenty of chances to find one of these secret “two-bed, four-bathroom” ads. It is not known how many of these “cabins in the clouds” are being sold via Airbnb, so the sooner you find one, the better.

If you’re a U.S.-based points and miles collector, don’t worry—becoming a Qantas Frequent Flyer member is free and anyone can join the program. In fact, card members who collect Citi ThankYou Points or Capital One Miles can transfer their points to the program and complete the reservation after finding one of the listings (theoretically).

Will you be one of the travelers scouring the popular vacation rental website for a discounted bed in the sky? And if you’re one of the lucky hunters, please let us know what you’ve found in the comments.
