Free Online Concert to Honor American Veterans

In partnership with MGM National Harbor, The United States Air Force Band welcomes country music stars, Chris Janson and Kellie Pickler, for a free, online concert
paying tribute to all American veterans. ESPN’s Malika Andrews will host “A Salute to Service: Honoring America’s Heroes.”

Amidst a global pandemic, this event highlights the service of Americans across all branches of the military and will include stirring video tributes to the men and women in uniform who serve or have served around the world.

This online concert is a part of the A Salute to Service: Honoring America’s Heroes campaign, which is a year-round effort to honor, empower, and connect our nation’s service members, veterans, and their families.

Chris Janson is a platinum-selling singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and three-time Country Music Awards nominee. With several acclaimed studio recordings to his name, he’s rocketed to the top of the country radio charts. His songs have earned numerous honors from Kellie Pickler is an American country music singer, songwriter, actress and television personality. She gained fame as a contestant on the fifth season of American Idol before releasing her debut album, Small Town Girl, which produced three singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. Her self-titled second album produced four singles, including “Best Days of Your Life”, which she co-wrote with Taylor Swift. Pickler’s third studio album, 100 Proof, was named the No. 1 Country Album of The Year by Rolling Stone. Pickler is an avid supporter of the U.S. Military, having completed eleven USO tours thus far.

Malika Andrews is an NBA reporter covering the league nationally, whose work appears across ESPN platforms including ESPN.com, SportsCenter and ESPN Radio. Prior to joining ESPN, Andrews worked as a reporter for the Chicago Tribune and as a James Reston Reporting Fellow in the sports department at The New York Times.

The United States Air Force Band is the premier musical organization of the U.S. Air Force.
