If you’ve ever dreamt of traveling back in time to the days of the original “jet set”; you’ll soon be able to drift off to sleep in an iconic airline terminal built to usher in the jet-age. The TWA Hotel, located at New York‘s John F Kennedy International Airport, will open to the public in 2019. In the meantime, MCR Development is building the hotel and will manage the historic landmark property.

The TWA Terminal, designed by architect Eero Saarinen, opened in 1962. MCR has painstakingly restored this architectural masterpiece as close to its original state as possible. The terminal, which will serve as the guest registration area, will connect to two buildings housing over 500 guest rooms as well as extensive conference and meeting facilities.

TWA Lounge

Located on the 86th floor of One World Trade Center, the TWA Lounge offers visitors a chance to preview what a visit to the TWA Hotel will be like when it’s completed. From the chili pepper red fabric and carpet to the Solari flight information signs; the lounge offers nonstop reminders of the special part TWA played in the creation of the jet-age.
