The highly anticipated AC Hotel Los Angeles South Bay, from design-led European lifestyle hotel brand AC Hotels by Marriott, is slated to open its doors to guests in just a few short months.

Introducing a new hotspot for guests, as well as area residents and businesses, the six-story hotel will be home to a rooftop restaurant and bar with aerial views. Developed and managed by El Segundo-based Welcome Group, Inc., the leadership team behind AC Hotel Los Angeles South Bay is looking forward to filling the void of an elevated hospitality experience in its emerging home market.

“We know this rapidly evolving region intimately and the AC Hotel Los Angeles South Bay is the first of its kind in the area,” said Arjun Shokeen, partner of Welcome Group. “With today’s modern traveler in mind, the AC Hotels brand follows suit with its signature, sleek design and strategic approach to comfort. We also know what locals want and the rooftop restaurant, unique to our property, will be a spectacular addition to the South Bay nightlife. We’re meeting a growing demand on various levels by introducing a whole new quality of hotel product.”

Built by AXIS/GFA Architecture + Design, AC Hotel Los Angeles South Bay is part of the hotel and office project at Elevon Campus. Nestled near LAX and El Segundo’s various aviation and tech industries, the concept is derived from the surrounding area.

With a blend of angular and curved surfaces inspired by aeronautical shapes and airfoils, the building’s forms, lines and profiles reflect the visual imagery of flight and avionics.

Intermixed with these forms is the static window and glass grid, which complements the angled lines, while silver metal panels mimic the color of an airplane’s wings and suggest motion, against a backdrop of rich and stable smooth stucco for depth.

Design Force is behind AC Hotel Los Angeles South Bay’s interior look and feel, which, similar to the hotel’s exterior, is locally inspired.

The dichotomy of nature and aerospace served as an underlying influence of the design. The space will combine hues of warm neutrals, fresh greys and cool metals accented by leathery cordovan while showcasing original metal artwork and overall geometry of flight motif throughout in homage to its surroundings.

AC Hotels edits away the unnecessary to remove friction, allowing guests to focus on what’s important to them. Each AC Hotel is reflective of the uniqueness and character of its urban location and combines sophisticated style with everyday sensibility.

AC Hotel Los Angeles South Bay will cater to the modern traveler constantly on the go through its beautiful aesthetic, smart design, creative food and beverage, and intuitive service.

The nearly 100,000-square-foot property features 180 fully equipped, thoughtfully designed rooms, including sleek furnishing and options with high ceilings.

Guests will enjoy starting their morning with a trip to the fitness center followed by a European-inspired breakfast in the AC Kitchen and end the day with an artful cocktail in hand at the AC Lounge.

An open-concept, communal space that extends outdoors, the Lounge serves as a creative, co-working hub by day and transitions into a bustling social scene by night.

The property offers complimentary Wi-Fi, a library and over 2,000 square feet of flexible event space, perfect for business travelers, as well as locals looking to plan anything from corporate meetings to holiday parties.

Topping off the hotel is a stylish rooftop restaurant and bar serving up local craft beer and specialty cocktails paired with tapas-style cuisine. Providing sweeping views of the new Los Angeles Stadium and aircrafts flying in and out of LAX, this new dining destination will be a fast favorite for a business lunch, leisurely dinner or an after-work happy hour. The rooftop restaurant and bar will be revealed just after the hotel’s opening.

“We’re anxious to open our doors,” said Ahmed Elassy, general manager. “I am confident the hotel’s proximity to popular L.A. destinations and the airport, paired with its refined style and epic rooftop will impress guests. And that the community will be thrilled to have a new, locally-inspired outdoor dining option offering views of the city and on a clear day you can see all the way to the Hollywood sign.”

In addition to LAX, AC Hotel Los Angeles South Bay is situated just miles from downtown L.A. and Manhattan Beach, as well as nearby the new home stadium for both the Los Angeles Rams and Chargers.

Just beyond the neighboring businesses, shopping complexes, and Green Line Mariposa Station, guests will find local Main Street charm in the surrounding beach cities, bursting with new restaurants, distilleries and more.

Rates for AC Hotel Los Angeles South Bay start at $149 per night. For more information, visit www.Marriott.com/LAXAE.
