AmaWaterways Launches Mobile App to Help Guests Stay Informed, Share Cruise Experiences

AmaWaterways has launched a new mobile app to help guests easily engage with and share their river cruise experiences.

The myAmaCruise app will allow passengers to access important information about their itinerary, store their photos in one convenient location and share memories with family and friends back home.

The app is available for download on the App Store or Google Play for guests embarking on all AmaWaterways’ European, Vietnam and Cambodia itineraries with the exception of Portugal.

Notable features include live itinerary tracking, a mobile daily cruiser, a personal cruise album and email postcards.

The tools will allow guests to follow their ship’s journey throughout the cruise and access details of each stop as well as pull up information pertaining to onboard activities and shore excursions.

The cruise album is where guests can store and tag photos on an itinerary map so they can easily share them with family and friends during or after their voyage while email postcards allow users to automatically send e-postcards with images in each new port they visit throughout their sailing.

“As we continue embracing innovation in all areas of our business, it is very important that we use technology to meet the evolving needs of our guests,” said Rudi Schreiner, president and co-owner of AmaWaterways, in a statement. “We were the first river cruise line to offer complimentary Wi-Fi throughout our ships and with this new app we’re happy to now provide even more ways for our guests to stay connected and share their experiences with friends and family.”

“With the ‘myAmaCruise’ app, our guests will now have all the information they need to make the most of their trip, in new and exciting ways,” added Kristin Karst, executive vice president and co-owner of AmaWaterways. “With so many diverse, included excursions and beautiful destinations to visit during an AmaWaterways journey, ‘myAmaCruise’ makes it easier for our guests to share the memories being made in real time.”

AmaWaterways has also enhanced cellular data plans throughout its European ships and has even added more viewing options on its stateroom Entertainment-On-Demand system. The award-winning river cruise line now boasts the fastest Wi-Fi on Europe’s rivers.
