Enviably situated on Ocean Drive overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Celino South Beach will open in early 2019 revealing a sophisticated, oceanfront haven that pulses with the energy of contemporary fashion, flavors, culture, and elegance.

Signaling a resurgence of exclusivity and breathing new life into the iconic strip, the 132-guestroom hotel has witnessed and influenced more than 80 years of Miami’s history. Following the transformation, the hotel will enter the market as the largest hospitality development in the history of Ocean Drive.

MORE Hotel & Resort

Originally built in 1937, Celino South Beach will be comprised of a new five-story atrium property and three original Art Deco buildings including the iconic Park Central Hotel as well as Imperial Hotel and Heathcote Apartments. Inspired by Miami’s modern aesthetics with Floridian accents, Cuban color palette and an intimate interior that pays homage to Ocean Drive in the 1940s, the hotel will transport travelers and locals alike to a destination booming with eccentric and prestigious experiences.

“We’re committed to reimagining Ocean Drive and honoring our unique history in an authentic way, which will serve as the foundation for our brand identity – from our cultural programming to our elevated levels of service – everything will come together in a vibrant atmosphere,” said Ricardo Tabet, hotelier and CEO of Optimum Development. “By drawing inspiration from our past to create a lifestyle experience, we will undoubtedly appeal to both locals and international travelers.”

Situated steps from world-famous South Beach, which has been named the American Riviera and Art Deco Playground, Celino South Beach boasts unrivaled ocean views.

The hotel will fuse distinguishing Miami style with a fresh aesthetic to reflect a contemporary beach house ambiance throughout its 12 signature balcony suites, 14 luxe one-bedroom suites and 82 guestrooms.

Having commissioned leading architectural and interior design firms, Borges + Associates Architects, Navigate Design and Space4Architecture, the hotel’s accommodations will be enriched with soothing pastel colors, natural materials including woods and a palette of whites and grays accented by hues of blues and pinks to create a light guest environment.

Through the local artwork and sleek, bespoke furnishings, touches that pay homage to the native culture are woven into the interior to create an oceanfront sanctuary. From state-of-the-art technologies to exclusive bath amenities, guests will discover all the comforts of home.

Dining

Celino South Beach has partnered with one of the most recognized leading lifestyle operators, INK Entertainment, to debut several exceptional dining venues and ensure that their innovative approach will bring fine dining back to Ocean Drive.

The illustrious group founded by hospitality tycoon Charles Khabouth will oversee two onsite Italian and Mediterranean seafood-centric restaurants as well as a seductive indoor/outdoor central bar.

Guests seeking an in-room aperitif can enjoy a new bottled cocktail experience crafted by On the Rocks, where the bar comes to them. Exclusively offering the Dallas-based company’s award-winning Old Fashioned, Celino South Beach’s in-room cocktail utilizes a generous pour of Knob Creek Bourbon Whiskey.

Guest Programming and Amenities

Featuring lush landscape to create a tranquil retreat in the midst of a bustling city, guests will unwind at the two onsite pool decks overlooking South Beach’s pristine shoreline including its highly anticipated rooftop glass-bottom pool and oasis pool in the courtyard adjacent to the hotel’s outdoor eatery and bar.

Under the roof of Celino South Beach, many adored celebrities including Clark Gable, Rita Hayworth, and Humphry Bogart have made their mark.

From Old Hollywood glamour screen- sirens to the rumored birthplace of the conga line led by Desi Arnaz, the hotel has been the bearer of powerful moments in Miami’s history.

The legendary landmark hotel will infuse its storied past with the rhythm of modern South Beach through in-room amenities such as an in-room conga line kit including a glass of cognac or mojito, mini conga drums, and a step-by-step guide on how to conga.

At the hotel’s second story mezzanine overlooking the ocean, guests can cozy up in the property’s library featuring hundreds of novels including Conga dance history books and access to thousands of newspapers and magazines via PressReader.

Spa and Fitness Center

Guests will have the luxury of booking in-room beauty and wellness services from hair and nails to yoga and massage by on-demand brand, PRIV. Celino South Beach will also feature a 24-hour fitness room and customized loaner bicycles to explore South Beach.

Celino South Beach is managed by Highgate, a premier real estate investment and hospitality management company whose growing portfolio includes more than 100 properties in gateway cities worldwide.
