River cruising is always in demand, but now is a particularly good time to book with Riviera River Cruises. The line is offering an incentive valued at up to $800 per travel agent for European river cruise bookings made through the end of 2018.
Agents will receive a Visa Gift Card with a value of $100 per cabin on all four, five and seven-night itineraries. Bookings of 14 nights will earn a $200 Visa Gift Card per cabin. The incentive is available for up to four cabins booked per individual agent, for a maximum value of $800 per agent. The incentive applies to all bookings confirmed with a deposit paid before Dec. 31, 2018.

The UK-based Riviera River Cruises is committed to working with travel agents.
“We’ve always been dedicated to the travel agent community, and this incentive is our way of saying ‘thank you’ directly to agents at the end of the year,” said Jana Tvedt, Riviera River Cruises’ US vice president. “Since opening our North American office last year, our success here has been largely due to the growing number of travel professionals who have dedicated themselves to learning about our five-star river cruises, sharing that knowledge with their clients and supporting us, and we appreciate their efforts.”
In business for more than 30 years as a tour operator, Riviera entered the river cruise arena a decade ago. It operates a fleet of 12 ships, with six introduced in 2017 and 2018. The line’s newest vessel, the 167-passenger MS Robert Burns, was christened by Omega World Travel founder Gloria Bohan in the spring of 2018.
Two new vessels, the MS George Eliot and MS William Wordsworth, will debut in 2019. Riviera’s itineraries feature nine different rivers and waterways of Europe. In 2019, it will introduce departures for solo travelers.
Riviera prides itself on the service levels and value it delivers to passengers. Many of its tour leaders have been with the company for years, adding to the family-like atmosphere on board. Additionally, the line doesn’t engage in artificial price inflation or discounting common with other leading operators. It never adds surcharges and doesn’t automatically add gratuities or drinks to the cost of the cruise.
