Southwest is Selling One-Way Tickets for $49

Southwest Airlines has launched a “Takeoffs to touchdowns” sale featuring one-way tickets for as little as $49.

The budget carrier’s new promotion is tied to the upcoming NFL and college football postseasons.

The deals available include a variety of one-way tickets that, depending on where you’re departing from, can be snatched up for as little as $49. San Jose, California, and Sacramento, California are among those currently listed for $49 when flying from San Diego. Flights to Las Vegas and San Francisco are around $61 one-way, depending on departure point.

Other destinations, such as Austin, Texas, are on sale for about $104 for a one-way fare, and Dallas, Texas is currently listed for $118, based on a San Diego departure.

But those interested in these bargain tickets must act quick.

All tickets must be purchased by 11:59 pm on December 13 in the time zone of the flight’s point of origination. The prices are for non-refundable tickets with a 14-day advance purchase required. The travel must take place between December 18, 2018, and May 22, 2019.

One last notable detail, travel to and from Puerto Rico is covered by the sale from January 13 through February 28 and from April 23 through May 16, 2019.
