Woman Dies From Leaning Out of Train Window

A 28-year-old woman died after sustaining injuries when she leaned out of a train window this weekend.

The woman had been visiting the Bath Christmas Market on December 1st and was on her way home when the incident occurred.

Emergency services were called around 10:10 p.m. Police believed she suffered a blow to the head from leaning out of the window, but what injured her is still unclear.

Paramedics could not save her life and she died at the scene.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: “We were called at around 10.10pm following a report a woman had received serious head injuries while traveling on a train between Bath and Keynsham.”
