Several of the rooms also have private terraces offering views across London. Still more sweeping views of the city can be had via the property’s eighth floor terrace.
Designed for longer stays, guest rooms in each of the seven suite categories at Residence Inns also include fully functional kitchens. There’s also complimentary Wi-Fi, smart TVs, USB plug points throughout the room and work desk space.
Complimentary breakfast is served seven days a week. Additional amenities include a Grab’n Go market and a fitness center, both of which are open around the clock, seven days a week. There is also a grocery delivery service available.
Cultural attractions near the new Residence Inn property include the Victoria and Albert Museum, Science Museum, Royal Albert Hall, and the Natural History museum.
“Residence Inn by Marriott London Kensington has been one of our most highly-anticipated launches in Europe; not only is it the largest Residence Inn in Europe, but it is the third largest in the world, and a flagship property for the brand,” John Licence, vice president premium and select brands Europe at Marriott International said in a statement. “London is a key market for extended-stay travel and we are delighted to launch the city’s second Residence Inn following last year’s opening of Residence Inn by Marriott London Bridge.”
The opening of Residence Inn by Marriott London Kensington marks the brand’s seventh property in Europe. Several more properties are in the pipeline, the company said in a statement, including the brand’s entry into new markets such as France, with the opening of Residence Inn Toulouse-Blagnac.
