The new flights to New York and Boston from the Mexican capital will complement the airline’s existing flights to Mexico City from its two Florida focus cities, including Fort Lauderdale and Orlando. By October, JetBlue will offer more than forty weekly flights between the U.S. and Mexico City.
“Mexico City, the second largest city in the Americas and the largest city JetBlue flies to, is critically important as we continue to grow our footprint in Latin America and provide travelers with the award-winning JetBlue experience and low fares,” JetBlue director Giselle Cortes said in a statement. “And with service to more international destinations than ever before in both our New York and Boston focus cities, we’re ensuring JetBlue is a top choice for more travelers in both cities.”
To serve the new routes, JetBlue will utilize Airbus A320 aircraft, which features complimentary and unlimited snacks, SIRIUSXM radio programming, DIRECTV programming, free Fly-Fi high-speed wireless Internet and the most legroom in coach.
