Southwest Launches Four-Day Sale with Fares as Low as $49

Budget-conscious summer travelers will have even more incentive to fly with Southwest Airlines this summer.

The low-cost carrier launched a four-day sale Tuesday with extra-low domestic fares starting at $49, $79, $99, and $149 one-way to select destinations.

The special summer fares are available now through May 18 at 11:59 p.m. in the respective time zone of the originating city and require a 21-day advance purchase.

Domestic travel is valid June 5 through October 31, 2018, and only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Meanwhile, travel to or from San Juan, Puerto Rico is valid Monday through Thursday.

“Summer travel season is here, and there’s still a great opportunity for customers to grab Southwest Airlines‘ low fares and take advantage of no change fees, up to two bags that fly free and free live TV,” said Ryan Green, Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Southwest Airlines, in a statement.

Example sale fares include $49 one-way nonstop between Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and San Diego International Airport and $79 one-way nonstop between New Orleans International Airport and Tampa International Airport.

Fares as low as $99 one-way nonstop are available between Baltimore-Washington International Airport and Palm Beach International Airport while fares starting at $149 one-way nonstop can be had between Houston (William P. Hobby Airport) and San Jose International Airport.

2018 has been a busy year for Southwest, which recently debuted several new routes across North America, added more nonstop flights and announced new service to Hawaii.
