You must be a SkyMiles member and logged in to make a bid on Experiences, including the 747 Farewell Tour, but you can browse the site and check out the latest bids and information without logging in.

Delta is planning to retire the use of its jumbo jets by the end of the year, which came with the acquisition of Northwest Airlines. It will begin using a fleet of new Airbus A350 jets in the stead of the 747’s. The last regularly scheduled flight of the 747 is from Seoul-Incheon to Detroit on Dec. 17. The Farewell Tour will then takeover with a series of flights ferrying passengers and staff. The 747 will also serve as a charter for sports teams before finally retiring.

In addition to the auction, retirees can purchase discounted tickets for the select flights.

Delta is amongst the latest airlines to retire its 747 jets. United Airlines flew it’s last regularly scheduled jumbo jet flight earlier in the month.
